Meet Our Founders


  • Co-founder of āmaris, Mai-Anh brings experience and healing wisdom from her own practice to āmaris, where she co-creates spaces for transformation and community connection. Several tremendous losses and profound grief led her to a low point in life, and seeing the northern lights for the first time sparked her awakening and walk through healing spaces. These experiences became the foundation to her dedication to supporting others through their own transformative journeys.

    As a board-certified hypnotherapist with the International Board of Hypnotherapy, Mai-Anh trained through the Hypnotherapy Academy of America and holds Level Two Certification with the Sound Healing Academy—both schools chosen for their high standards of practice. This allows her to guide healing verbally and non-verbally through sound.

    With over 10 years development work, Mai-Anh has been running her hypnotherapy practice and wellness business, auraura house, for 2 years and understands that transformation is an ongoing journey—one she continues to walk herself. Her core values of compassion, integrity, and openness infuse every aspect of her work at āmaris, where she empowers individuals to unlock their potential and become natural forces for positive change.

 

  • Co-founder of āmaris, Catalina Alexandra brings two decades of embodied wisdom from her journey as a professional dancer to spiritual guide. Born in Bogotá, Colombia, and author of The Call to Awaken, her solo travels cracked her heart wide open to life's potential, awakening her calling to support others in their own emergence.

    As a 22nd generation Dragon Gate Daoist priest under Master Lao Zhi Chang, Master Reiki practitioner, and Medicine Buddha Reiki attuned healer, Catalina offers deep energetic and spiritual support through āmaris, bringing lightheartedness alongside profound transformation. What makes her work potent is her ability to drop into the unknown and trust what wants to emerge, channeling guidance with presence that shifts everyone in the space.

    She weaves energy work, creativity, and authentic grounding throughout all āmaris offerings, integrating her sacred plant medicine work from Oils.Earth. Her spiritually grounded approach balances the structured with the emergent, the known with the unknown, creating authentic presence that supports individuals in discovering their own potential for healing and growth. This organic emergence is what makes her work so authentic.

    At āmaris, Catalina both co-creates spaces for healing and empowerment and works with individuals, channeling wisdom and guiding others to discover their own vast potential—one breath, one moment, one awakening at a time.
